I didn’t know anything about it until a few days after it had already been launched and a friend asked me to check it out with him. WotLK Secrets was the name of the new guide and it was reported to be a complete guide that covered everything that would be in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack when it hit on November 13th. I was intrigued because I had not done nearly as much research and studying of the pack as I would have liked (didn’t make it into beta L), so I sat down to peruse what I thought was going to be a quick and easy to read guide. Three days and 250 pages later I realized that it was anything but a short guide and I had spent the better part of three nights reading it. Of course I won’t complain even in the slightest because I felt like I had learned just about everything I could possibly learn short of the exact leveling paths in Northrend that I would need to stomp everyone in sight when I got into the new content.
If you haven’t seen or heard about WotLK Secrets yet, trust me – it is one heck of a guide. It’s pretty much a complete guide for anyone that needs a primer on anything to do with WotLk and it comes with full strategies for mastering new raids, instances, and professions as well as full listings of everything you’ll encounter, need to do, and probably be stuck at. It’s probably the best primer guide I’ve ever seen for a new MMO or expansion – well worth checking out.

I have heard this argument so many times now I don’t know what to say to people anymore. I will bring up the need for a good leveling guide and like clockwork, the person I’m talking to will tell me that they don’t think it is “right” to use one – that it is cheating or that it is unfair to their fellow players.
I’m not going to knock on anyone that would rather complete a game alone than with a guide in hand, but I do have to say that a good leveling guide is a great way to enhance the enjoyment of a game without ruining anything. I like to use Extreme Leveling, a guide I recently discovered that has been instrumental in reducing my leveling time dramatically, as my example here. You don’t have to use it all the time – The thing that many people feel is that having a guide means it must be used at all times. This is not the case. A leveling guide is a tool, much like your auctioneer add-on. You use it to enhance your experience and boost your effectiveness in a certain part of the game. You are getting an unfair edge on other players – Well, yeah, but isn’t that the point? It’s not like you are a better player because you know where to go. A Leveling guide isn’t going to get you more loot or win you PvP matches. It just gets you through the slough of leveling faster so that you can enjoy the end-game sooner. What’s wrong with that? The speed increase is negligible – I couldn’t disagree more. My first character in WoW took my 19 days to level up to Level 70. I didn’t play after hitting level 60 at all (I switched to an alt), so that is all time spent gathering XP. My most recent character leveled up with Extreme Leveling took me 7 days and 14 hours. I would say I’m doing a bit better.
These are just three of the most common arguments I hear. All I can say is that you should visit ExtremeLeveling.com and read up on the newest guide for World of Warcraft – perhaps even partake of the free offer for the first 12 levels of the guide and then give judgment on whether you think leveling guides are a good thing or not. |

This is probably my biggest issue with World of Warcraft – it is not a problem with the game itself. No, I love the game; I’ve been playing it since 2004 and haven’t been lured away by any other game since. I’ve leveled up five characters to Level 70 for Alliance and two for Horde and no one looks forward more to the new content of Lich King than myself, but that doesn’t mean I necessarily like having to go through low level content time and again whenever I level a new character. After 7 times through (in reality this is more like 20 times through if you include the times I’ve started and stopped) with different characters, I’m dead tired of starting over and it’s even worse with new classes. Which is why a product like the one over at WarcraftPros.com had me all sorts of excited.
If you’ve read any other class guides before, you know they usually don’t offer much – I’ve seen guides that provide a decent amount of information about the talents and others that spend twenty pages on race selection, but none of them really touch on everything you need to know for the class and still leave me wondering what I should be leveling up at 20 and where to look for gear at 30. But, over at WarcraftPros, I found a new product that actually touches on pretty much everything I need to know. Some guides are for beginners and others for veterans, but these class guides hit on every aspect of the class from start to end-game and that immediately makes them stand out. When you play a game like World of Warcraft as much as I have and there are still parts that you have not yet experienced, having to dig through boring introductory information can be mind numbing. These class guides skip right past those details while not acting like you know everything. So, you learn that a Mage’s best leveling spec is Frost and that the gear you want is going to be from drops until you hit level 50, but you aren’t beat over the head with it – it’s a nice change of pace. Basically, if you’re still looking at your account dreading starting yet another new character because the Shaman or Paladin is just a bit too complex and you just don’t feel like being pwned outright in world PvP, you need to visit WarcraftPros.com today and take a look at these guides. The best part too is that if you are a beginner and know you will need more than one guide, they’re offering a hefty discount for buying all 9. I know for a fact that I’ll be headed back here in November when Lich King is out to read up on the Death Knight before I start up play with one myself. |

There’s been a lot of talk lately about a new comer to what many of us might call an overcrowded gold guide market – that of Warcraft Millionaire.Â
I’ve read a lot about Brad, the author’s, claims and was quite skeptical at first that anyone could have made 1 million gold in a game that has a gold cap of 214,748 gold, 36 silver, 48 copper. It just didn’t seem possible and so I, like many, wrote it off at first as creative boasting by another guide writer. Don’t make the same mistake I did though! This guide is the real deal. Not only does Brad provide video proof of his claims on his website (watch the video here), he provides one of the most comprehensive gold guides I’ve seen yet.  Not only do you get a half dozen different guides; a 1-60 guide, an Outland guide, a grinding guide, a Daily Quest guide, an Auction House guide, and a Limited Items compendium; he writes it in a way that is easy to understand reference – an issue I’ve heard time and again with other gold guides on the market. Once you crack into the beginner’s guide and start reading the tips and tricks that Brad has to offer, you start to see just why he was able to become the game’s first millionaire. It’s not just a laundry list of grinding locations (though he does provide these), it’s a complete step by step process that walks you through how to utilize the grinding locations and gold making methods to the best possible consequences.  Many times, a gold guide just tosses ideas at you and expects you to figure them out for yourself. They give you a zone and a mob and say “kill this”. Brad, starts with the big picture and slowly narrows in on what you need to know about gold making in the game. One of my favorite parts of this program though is his Auction House guide. This is by far one of the best Auction House descriptions I have yet read. He deftly weaves descriptions of real world economic concepts into how the game operates and how you can actually play the Auction House like the stock market for exponentially increasing returns. The rest of the guide program provides you with plenty of information about what items you should be looking for and how much money you can expect to make. With the right approach to the Auction House, you can be sure that you will start making gold just like Brad. While I would have liked to see a bit more intense focus on Outland and a few more grinding locations that don’t require a flying mount, I cannot fault Brad for this one minor issue – the rest of the guide is so well situated (and illustrated) that I can fully believe that he was able to reach his gold level without spending a dime of his own real world money.
